Comment Policy Mistake

Monday, September 1st, 2008

Whoops!

I asked WordPress to automatically close comments on older posts; and I just observed that it was closing comments on all of the new posts as well, which is not at all what I had in mind. I have re-opened comments on all posts.

My apologies to anyone who wanted to comment over the last few days…I didn’t mean to be exclusive.

House Guests

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

We’ve got house guests this evening, so I’ll be moving on to Chapter 53 of the Compendium Theologiae (and looking at and responding to comments) tomorrow.

We Beg Your Pardon

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I’m afraid that St. Thomas was pre-empted this evening by a truly excellent production of Much Ado About Nothing, performed in our local park. Will Shakespeare would have approved.

Oh, My!

Friday, July 11th, 2008

My stats page shows that I got a referral from a page at Christianity Today. I’ve no idea in what context the link occurred; I didn’t see anything given a cursory look around. (Possibly it’s a mistake; some reader read something at Christianity Today, and then came here directly, and their browser incorrectly reported that it was referred by Christianity today.)

But anyway, Welcome! to anyone who shows up from Christianity Today. This blog is my attempt to learn about St. Thomas Aquinas’ philosophy and theology; please don’t confuse me with someone who knows what he’s talking about. :-)

Brief Hiatus?

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

So far I’ve managed to blog one chapter of the Compendium Theologiae each day, and on some days other reflections as well. That’s a schedule I plan to stick to. But I’m off on a business trip this week, and I’m not sure what kind of net access I’ll have. If possible, I’ll keep going; otherwise, I expect to be back in harness on Thursday or Friday.

Comments?

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

I can see from the stats that I’m getting a few readers every day (possibly different ones every day, mind you); could one of you please leave a comment, just so that I know that the comment box mechanism is working? You don’t need to say much; just “Testing” would be good enough.

Thanks!
